2025: End of Year Roundup
:format(webp))
As we come to the end of the year, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that’s been along for the ride.
This year has seen loads of great projects delivered by our teams, featuring excellent work across film and TV projects as well as live experiences. We’ve also rolled out several technology innovations, launched a brand new division and finished the year as the newest studio under the Journey banner.
We wanted to revisit some of our biggest successes this year and say a huge congrats to all our clients and our teams for their excellent work this year.
Projects in focus
While we work across some of the most well-known TV and films and deliver exciting live experiences, we’re still just fans as much as anyone. So we’ve loved seeing the latest releases and taking part in experiences just as much as anyone.
From the blockbuster Wicked: For Good and the latest take on the Dickens classic in Christmas Karma, to Amazon’s reinvention of the Rom-Com in Maintenance Required and the high-octane action sci-fi series Murderbot there are plenty of film and TV projects we’ve loved being in the audience for.
Seeing visuals and a virtual venue come to life in live experiences for the likes of Floating Points and Royksopp, and delivering a more accessible Glastonbury experience for guests enjoying Terminal 1 has made for a great first year for the Dimension Live team.
And our technology teams finished out the year with the ‘Tech Team of the Year’ award from Broadcast, which is well deserved after the incredible delivery of Dimension Unreal Engine, ViV and our ongoing integration of AI tools into production workflows.
Dimension Live: our latest division
This year also saw us rolling out a new division in Dimension Live - a team dedicated to delivering the next generation of live experiences. From live music, theatre or event performances to location-based entertainment and branded activations, the Live team are specialists in taking guest experiences to the next level.
A world-first robotic innovation
The future of robotic virtual production is here, with ViV - a system created and launched by our team at Dimension - launching back in September.
By bringing together a motion-controlled camera and LED volume, ViV provides filmmakers with a way to roll out virtual production for sequences and shots that have been previously ‘impossible’ to do with a large LED volume.
Whether as a complementary setup to a wider LED volume shoot, or for shoots that don’t require a large static LED volume, but still have other ‘impossible’ shots to capture, ViV unlocks much more dynamic movement for filmmakers.
The next step in our Journey
And we’re finishing out the year with the very exciting news that Dimension has become a part of Journey. Becoming a part of Journey, puts us in a unique position to deliver game-changing shows and productions at scale on the global stage.
Read more about what our becoming part of Journey means in our post about the news.
One thing is for sure, our teams have been hard at work this year. We'd like to thank all our partners and clients for their continued support and we’re excited to see what 2026 brings.
